SCHOOL INFORMATION

Our school is a program that ranges from pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten to 8th grade. It includes a religion program, which provides students with the opportunity for a greater awareness of God’s personal love for them and knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church. An academic program, which motivates students to become life-long learners in all disciplines, is based on an excellent academic foundation. A total program is designed to guide the student toward the understanding that fulfillment begins with the need for self-discipline, personal responsibility and self-evaluation.

PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION (PSR)

This is a religion program designed for students attending public schools. The program teaches the basics of the Catholic Faith, preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Initiation and a greater awareness of Christ’s love for each of us. In 2005, our PSR merged with Saint Norbert’s PSR and currently meet on Monday evenings at 6:30 PM.

Contact Deacon Bill Twellman at Saint Norbert Church (314) 831-3874, or the Parish Office for more details on how to sign up for the PSR program.

A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Greetings!

It is my privilege to be principal of this great educational institution. We are filled with the spirit of Christ in all that we do. This is my foremost concern that all students leave each day knowing that they are a very important part of our school and that they are successful learners. I believe a child can attain his/her highest goals if they realize they are loved by God and they understand they can succeed. Success is a great motivator to new and challenging accomplishments.

We have a modern computer lab that is consistent with the growth of technology and a traveling laptop cart. We are completely networked throughout the school. We also have our broadcast system, called SAM, which we use for daily announcements. The students are news broadcasters and we even have a weather commentator. At this time we also have five smart boards to enhance learning.

Technology is definitely important but our teachers definitely add life and enthusiasm to our learning environment. Technology can never take the place of knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring teachers.

If you would like to know more about our school, please do not hesitate to call. It is one of my favorite things, to talk about our great school, St. Angela Merici!

Rejoice in the presence of Christ!
